Message to all parents regarding concerns over coronavirus (COVID-19).
As a school, we continue to closely follow guidance set out to us from the government, Public Health England and our local authority and at this time school is remaining open as normal.
Mr Bushby and all staff fully understand the concerns you have as parents for your children and we have had a number of parents / carers having the uncertainty of whether to send children into school if they are feeling unwell.
The main message sent out by Public Health England is that the most common symptoms of COVID-19 are flu-like symptoms such as recent onset of a high temperature and / or a new continuous cough. Should your child be displaying any of these symptoms then please do not send them into school.
For more detailed information on isolation etc please refer to the government website (www.gov.uk) under the section on coronavirus.
As a school we are unable to offer direct medical advice therefore we are asking parents to use their own judgement as carers as to whether their child should be coming into school while feeling unwell. The health of our children as a whole school is of utmost importance to us.
Many thanks for your support with this. It is a period of uncertainty for us all. We will keep you updated with any further developments as and when we have them.
