Year 6 Activity Day to Broomley Grange

10th May 2021 By

Dear Parent or Carer,

As you are aware, this year, we will not be having a residential trip for Year 6 however we have managed to arrange a full activity day for the children at Broomley Grange in Hexham. This will be on Monday 12th July.

Cost for the day will be £30, this covers all activities. School will pay for the coach travel.

As we will be off school site and undertaking various outdoor activities, there is a need for our children to conduct themselves appropriately therefore attendance on this trip is behaviour dependent. Should we feel any pupil’s behaviour is not acceptable on the run-up to this trip, they will not take part in the day. Thank you for your full support with this.

As we are becoming a cashless school, all payments will now need to be made via our ParentPay system. This is set up ready for your payment.

Can we ask that payment is made by Friday 28th May please.

Thank you

Mrs Cowgill and Mrs Carroll

New School Meals Menu

30th April 2021 By

Dear Parent/Carer,

We are pleased to inform you that our current meal menu will soon be changing. Please find a copy of the new dinner menu attached. I am sure you will agree it is time for some changes after a long time on the current menu.

The meals work on a three week rolling menu, offering nutritionally balanced meals, freshly prepared and cooked on the school premises.

A main meal must be chosen from a choice of three each day ‘Red, Green or Blue’ over the 3 week period.
If you would like your child to have a school meal could you please discuss the options with your child and circle their chosen meals on the dinner menu.
 Example menu below

Currently, all Reception children and Years 1 & 2 are entitled to free school meals as per the Government Universal Free School Meals Scheme.

We kindly ask you to make sure you choose a meal your child likes, as we are unable to continuously change your child’s options. If your child does not like the sandwich option available on a certain day, please circle the Blue meal and write next to it either Ham or Cheese. Our kitchen staff will accommodate this meal option.

If you would like your child to have a packed lunch, please write this on the menu and still return the form to school please.

We request if at any point you wish to change from school meals to packed lunch or packed lunch onto school meals; that you give at least 1 weeks’ notice by informing the school office.

Please return your completed menu to school no later than Friday 14th May 2021.

A confirmed start date for this menu will be communicated via Class Dojo as soon as possible.

Yours sincerely,

Mr Ray Bushby
Head Teacher

Please find attached a copy of the new menu.
